Capita has admitted to further emails and letters being processed incorrectly on their cervical screening programme, but are claiming this has not caused harm to patients. Back in March, NHS England said that Capita will have its contract taken away, and it has now said that the process has begun. The BMA is once again demanding that Capita is also stripped of its contract to provide GP support services.
This error has delayed 16 women being sent letters/ emails inviting them to cervical screening and an additional 99 women being removed from the programme.
