Babylon Health and the Royal Wolverhampton Trust have announced a 10 year deal to develop what they are calling a new model of healthcare. The first services are expected to be launched at the end of the year.
The Royal Wolverhampton Trust runs 10 GP practices already plus acute and community services. Its own GPs are supportive of the move, according to the trust’s chief executive, but he expects some ‘backlash’ from others. A single app will be developed to allow patients to access NHS services – primary, secondary and community services.
The plans include remote access to GPs and consultants and real-ltime monitoring of patients.
